Future-proof flexibility
Thanks to smart features, the wallbox is able to regulate its power consumption and optimize the charging process, today and in the future. An external energy meter can be connected via an RS485 interface to enable dynamic charging management, save electricity costs and prevent unwanted tripping of protective devices.
OCPP for communication with backend
The Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) regulates communication between a charging station and a backend system. Thanks to OCPP, you can easily control one or more charging stations with a backend system and, among other things, view individual charging processes, manage users and bill for the electricity charged.
RFID locking function
Only users whose RFID cards are stored at the charging station can charge at your charging station. Electric car drivers use an RFID charging card to activate the charging station and start the charging process. An RFID card is included with every wallbox.
Integrated residual current sensor
The ABB Terra AC wallbox has a DC residual current sensor as standard. This means that you only need the inexpensive FI type A for upstream protection.
Compatible with many energy management systems
ABB Terra charging stations can be integrated and controlled into modern, intelligent building energy systems via the Ethernet interface.
User-friendly app
ABB offers two apps for the ABB Terra Wallbox. The TerraConfig app is exclusively for the installer and enables easy configuration and control (instructions and further information can be found in the “Product Attachments” tab). The ChargerSync app for end customers also offers monitoring management functions. For example, it shows the user the charging status and energy consumption.
Important: The account for the TerraConfig app must be requested by the installer here (at least one day) in advance. Without an account, the maximum charging power cannot be set, among other things.
